Han transcurrido tres décadas desde la ‘Caída del Muro’ y la posterior desintegración de la URSS, tiempo suficiente para estar asistiendo al intento de un replanteo general del Orden que sobrevino tras 1989. Es un hecho que enfrentamos acontecimientos históricos como el ascenso chino o la hoy presente reacción rusa a la expansión de la OTAN en Europa Oriental, con una guerra abierta en Ucrania. La historia ha vuelto a ponerse en marcha, y lo hace a través de la movilización y confrontación abierta de actores estatales. Es por eso que esta ‘resurrección’ de la historia se hace como geografía, es decir, se lleva a cabo bajo la forma material más acabada. La historia “retorna” como geografía política o como un cuestionamiento geográfico-político, de la mano de otro "regreso", el de la geopolítica, proyección vívida ésta de la existencia real, inocultable, del imperialismo, una categoría negada rotundamente por la ideología de los ‘felices’ años noventa. Este “regreso” adquiere una dimensión mayúscula, lo hace con la entidad que significa su despliegue absolutamente material, a través de los Estados, actores relegados hasta la casi negación misma por la ideología finisecular noventista. Three decades have passed since the 'Fall of the Wall' and the subsequent disintegration of the USSR, enough time to be witnessing the attempt at a general rethinking of the Order that came after 1989. It is a fact that we are facing historical events such as the rise of China or the current Russian reaction to the expansion of NATO in Eastern Europe, with an open war in Ukraine. History has started up again, and it does so through the mobilization and open confrontation of state actors. That is why this 'resurrection' of history takes place as geography, that is, it takes place in the most complete material form. History "returns" as political geography or as a geographical-political questioning, hand in hand with another "return", that of geopolitics, this vivid projection of the real, unconcealed existence of imperialism, a category flatly denied by the ideology from the 'happy' nineties.
