En este trabajo exploramos cómo la IA puede ser una herramienta poderosa para mejorar la educación, pero también identificar y discutir los desafíos y riesgos que presenta. Para ello se abordarán algunas tendencias pedagógicas y perspectivas del aprendizaje actuales y cómo determinados desarrollos de la IA pueden sustentarse desde estas perspectivas. La pedagogía centrada en el estudiante, el enfoque de enseñanza por competencias, la cognición situada, la cognición distribuida y el andamiaje, entre otras, se analizan en su relación con la IA. Al mismo tiempo se abordan las tensiones que ello genera. En este trabajo, el término “tensiones” se refiere a los conflictos, desafíos o contradicciones que pueden surgir al utilizar la IA en ES y que pueden manifestarse de varias formas. Artificial intelligence (AI) is present in many aspects of our lives, from education to industry. In the field of higher education (HE), it is essential that we understand both the opportunities and the risks associated with this technology. In this work, we explore how AI can be a powerful tool to enhance education, but also identify and discuss the challenges and risks it presents. To this end, we will address some current pedagogical trends and learning perspectives, and how certain AI developments can be supported from these viewpoints. Student-centered pedagogy, competency-based teaching approaches, situated cognition, distributed cognition, and scaffolding, among others, are analyzed in their relationship with AI. At the same time, we address the tensions that this generates.
