| Sumario: | Toxoplasmosis and neosporosis represent major health challenges in goat production, causing significant reproductive losses and posing risks to public health. This study/review analyzes/addresses the biological characteristics, transmission mechanisms, clinical manifestations, diagnostic approaches, impact on production, and prevention strategies related to Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora caninum infections in goats, with special emphasis on the epidemiological situation in Argentina. Within a One Health framework, the need for integrated control measures to mitigate economic losses and reduce zoonotic risks is emphasized, prioritizing epidemiological surveillance and biosecurity practices in goat production systems. |
