We used the “National Survey on the Social Structure of Argentina and Public Policies during the Covid-19 Pandemic” (ESAyPP/PISAC-COVID-19), conducted among 5,239 adults in urban areas between October and December 2021. The analysis focuses on the degree of support or rejection of these policies and on the socioeconomic, socio-demographic, and attitudinal factors that influence redistributive preferences. An index of redistributive preferences was constructed, and a multiple linear regression analysis was applied to evaluate the effect of social class, controlling for variables such as gender, age, and political orientation. In addition, a macro-social analysis was carried out to understand the social alliances between classes and to determine if there is a class polarization dynamic concerning socioeconomic redistribution in Argentina.
