This note describes new skeletal anomalies observed in the sacral region of wild specimens of Caiman yacare. Caudal hemisacralization and an ectopic condyle were identified. Although it was not possible to establish a cause-effect relationship, possible genetic and teratological explanations are explored based on previous reports in other crocodilians. This contribution highlights the importance of reporting morphological anomalies found in reptiles, which could indicate environmental disturbances. Las anomalías morfológicas registradas en reptiles silvestres son escasas comparadas con las de animales en cautiverio, y suelen detectarse en exámenes post-mortem. En esta nota se describen nuevas anomalías esqueléticas observadas en la región sacra de ejemplares silvestres de Caiman yacare. Se identificó hemisacralización caudal y un cóndilo ectópico. Si bien no fue posible establecer una relación causa-efecto, se explora posibles explicaciones genéticas y teratológicas de acuerdo con reportes previos en otros crocodilianos. Esta contribución resalta la importancia de comunicar anomalías morfológicas halladas en reptiles, las cuales podrían indicar disturbios ambientales.
