Rodó, J. Vasconcelos and R. Kusch regarding how each one interprets the legacy of the various traditions coexisting in America, and how this legacy should be integrated as the labor or task of the Latin American thinker when formulating a specifically Latin American anthropology that encompasses this legacy. By highlighting both the differences and the similarities in the authors' reflections, the article seeks to gather some of the central concepts the authors propose for thinking about a philosophical perspective of Latin America. En el marco de las reflexiones sobre el pensamiento latinoamericano, el objetivo de este artículo es comparar las perspectivas de E. Rodó, J. Vasconcelos y R. Kusch respecto al modo en que cada uno interpreta la herencia de las diversas tradiciones que conviven en América, y el modo en que ésta debe ser integrada como la labor o tarea del pensador latinoamericano al momento de formular una antropología propiamente latinoamericana que abarque dicha herencia. Señalando las diferencias pero también las similitudes planteadas en las reflexiones de los autores, el artículo se propone recoger algunos de los conceptos centrales con los que los autores proponen pensar de cara a una perspectiva filosófica de Latinoamérica.
