Sumario:The public health system plays a fundamental role in reducing health inequities, hence the importance of understanding the relationship between the distribution of its resources and the health of the population. To contribute in this regard, the objective of this paper was to determine if there is a significant association between geographical access to medium and high-complexity public healthcare services and the infant mortality rate (an indicator of population health) in Argentina in 2022. To do this, descriptive, relational and spatial analyzes were carried out, and a regression model was built based on different sources of information. The results showed a statistically significant association between the average arrival time to the nearest medium and high-complexity healthcare center and the infant mortality rate. It is necessary to rethink the territorial distribution of the healthcare services involved.
