Sumario:What role do building services have in the design of public restrooms? With what parameters should we design this type of construction, considering sustainability and gender criteria? From these exchange questions between a group of activists in gender and urban planning and a chair of building services from the architecture career, emerges this project research work that brings together a series of guidelines for the design of bathrooms in public spaces, contemplating the concepts proposed by the col-lectiu punt 6 for “a caring city.” These project criteria are synthesized in the study and theoretical development of a restroom sanitary module, to be used in an urban park, contemplating the key ideas of gender perspective, safety and environmental caring, in order to promote comprehensive, conscious and situated design in vocational training.
