| Sumario: | The article explores methods to integrate the temporal dimension into the understanding of cultural production processes in small cities. It is based on the results of qualitative and ethnographic research conducted in a small-scale, non-metropolitan city in the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), from 2019 to 2023. The findings indicate that in a contemporary context characterized by the city’s sustained growth and increasing heterogeneity and fragmentation of the local social space, principles of stability and repetition dominate the local cultural and artistic experience. This work aims to investigate the local imaginary through two categories that connect the notions of space, time, and culture: 1) borders (as boundaries that create meaning and social relationships), and 2) trajectories (as configurations that combine space and time). |
