Sumario:Heterotrophic bacterial activity on glucose was studied in three man made lakes applying kinetics parameters method of Wright & Hobbie (1966, 1965). Seasonal patterns where established and comparisons were made with primary production, chlorophyll a concentrations and heterotrophic viable bacteria. Results suggest that Vmax and Tt are closely related to the trophic degree of the water bodies studied. In the eutrophic Embalse del Río Tercero Vmax was maximun during summer (March) with 2,083  μg 1-1 h-1, in coincidence with a Peridinium sp bloom, and Tt reach the minimun value of 4,1 hours. Primary production and chlorophyll a concentrations showed a similar pattern than Vmax, but maximun values of primary production where found between November and February. Vmax values where lower in Lago Ramos Mexía, varying between 0,001 μg 1-1 h-1 (winter) and 0,176 μg 1-1 h-1 (summer).
