Sumario:The main objective of this article is to analyze the transformations in educational administration from the perspective of public management models and recent configurations, considering the roles, functions, and professional profiles of administrators. To achieve this, several key topics will be explored. First, the transformations in the National Educational Public Administration will be examined, highlighting the significant changes that have taken place in this field. Next, the modifications in public management models will be analyzed, identifying new practices and approaches that have emerged in the management of education. Additionally, a detailed analysis of the Central Administration of Education in the recent past will be conducted, with a focus on the profile of education administrators. This will explore how these profiles have evolved over time and the predominant characteristics today. Finally, the problems and tensions related to the recent profiles of educational administrators will be addressed, identifying critical issues that affect their performance and the overall effectiveness of educational administration.
