Sumario:This article presents progress from an investigation on how the media in Posadas, Misiones, Argentina, construct news narratives about local neighborhoods. The focus of the study is framed in Social Communication, Discourse Analysis, Semiotics, Linguistics, Grammar and Spanish usage. The analysis focuses on three digital news articles from a corpus of journalistic texts published between the years 2023 and 2024, which address neighborhood claims in relation to the electric energy service. The study examines the discursive strategies employed by online newspapers to “mediate” neighborhood voices, frame the issues raised by residents, and highlight the relationships and asymmetries between the community and the relevant authorities.
