S. bokermanni presented a smooth surface with rounded structures and less abundant ring structures. These characteristics are similar to those found previously in Nematolebias myersi. The remaining species presented differences among each other in density, thickness and length of the hair-like projections as well as in the chorionic surface. The chorionic characteristics of the eggs of Cynolebiatinae can be used as a specific diagnostic character and in some cases could be useful in phylogenetic analyses.   En el presente trabajo se estudió la ornamentación de la superficie coriónica de los huevos de cuatro especies del género Austrolebias (A. alexandri, A. bellottii, A. nigripinnis y A. viarius) y dos especies del género Sympsonichthys (S. bokermanni y S. notatus) utilizando Microscopía Electrónica de Barrido. Las mismas presentaron características coriónicas similares excepto S. bokermanni, la cual no presentó las prolongaciones piliformes ni la superficie rugosa encontradas en el resto, por el contrario, esta última especie presentó una superficie lisa con estructuras semiesféricas y en menos densidad estructuras anulares. Estas características son similares a las encontradas anteriormente en Nematolebias niyersi. Las restantes especies presentaron diferencias entre sí, tanto en densidad. grosor y longitud de sus prolongaciones piliformes, así como en la superficie del corion. La ornamentación del corion de los huevos de Cynolebiatinae puede ser usada como carácter diagnóstico específico y en algunos casos podría ser útil en establecer relaciones de ancestralidad.
