| Sumario: | This article aims to critically analyse the relationship between the images proposed by DELE (Spanish diploma) A2 exam preparation textbooks published from 2020 in Spain and the statistical profile of the candidate who takes this test as a requirement to obtain the Spanish nationality. Based on the description of the DELE A2 exam candidate in Spain and, therefore, potential recipient of the preparation textbooks to pass the exam, the authors select and analyse a corpus consisting of images from DELE A2 preparation textbooks to prepare the oral test, where there is greater personal involvement on the part of the candidate. The study suggests that the potential recipients of DELE A2 or their contexts are not sufficiently represented in those images, which hinders the abstraction requested to candidates to pass the test. |
