Sumario:Dermacentor nitens is a Neotropical tick with reports from northern Argentina (provinces of Salta and Jujuy) to southern Mexico, with no records in Chile and Uruguay. Its main host is horses; likewise, this tick has veterinary importance due to its role as a vector of microorganisms. Thus, the aim of the present work is to provide new findings of D. nitens for the province of Corrientes, Argentina, thus expanding its distribution.
