| Sumario: | The following article addresses the absence and presence of bodies in Alguien muere en San Onofre de Cuarumí (1984), a novel written by Josefina Plá (1903-1999) and Ángel Pérez Pardella (1927-2007). I consider the category of bodies as political projects in Josefina Plá's literature, which recreate bodily events through memories and language emissions. Corporeality refers to that which gives body to bodily presences and absences (Bianchi, 2019). I take this category to then focus on the figuration of the character physical bodies arranged in the novel and of the textual bodies in relation to the word and the language, or languages: Spanish, Guaraní and Jopará. |
