Sumario:The structural and functional atributes of zoobenthos in the tributary streams of the Río Tercero reservoir were evaluated. The analysis of Surber samples allows us to determine dominant associations, relative abundance as well as to suggest a tentative approach of trophic structure. The most frequent groups were chironomids and may- flies: Pseudochironomus sp., Pentaneura sp., Baetis sp. and Ephemerella sp. The affinity was high within the same river. In hill stretchs there were more scrapers and in the mouths collectors predominated. It is considered that zonal differentiation of the physiography and physiognomy of each stream basin is expressed in the composition of benthos communities.
