These tests made it possible to realize that successive layers of corrugated cardboard would not collaborate structurally with two joint plates of phenolic plywood in components subjected to bending. On the contrary, the thermal and acoustic tests allowed us to recognize a huge potential in these two variables. The results obtained allow us to imagine possibilities for this waste material that give it significant construction value as a possible substitute for other construction materials. Se exponen los resultados de los ensayos mecánicos, térmicos y acústicos de un “Componente Constructivo Tipo” que incorpora, como alma del panel, multicapas de cartón corrugado recuperados de los RSU. Estos ensayos permitieron dar cuenta de que sucesivas capas de cartón corrugado no colaborarían estructuralmente con dos placas conjuntas de contrachapado fenólico en componentes sometidos a flexión. Contrariamente, los ensayos térmicos y acústicos permitieron reconocer un enorme potencial de aislamiento en estas dos variables. Los resultados obtenidos permiten imaginar posibilidades para este material de descarte que le otorgan un valor constructivo significativo como posible sustituto de otros materiales de la construcción.
