The main objective of this Agreement was to provide the Municipality with an essential management tool to achieve fair, sustainable and balanced development of the municipal territory, with a time horizon of 2040. The Plan was elaborated by a faculty technical team that had the contribution of a Municipal technical team. The Plan proposal is expressed in seven Strategic Lines and 37 projects- ideas, and also includes a proposal for its implementation and possible management instruments. This article contains a synthesis of the Final Report and Book II of the Plan, presented to the Municipality of the City of Formosa. El Plan de Desarrollo y Ordenamiento Territorial del Municipio de Formosa, POT FOR 2040 fue llevado adelante mediante un Acuerdo de Trabajo entre la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo y la Municipalidad de la Ciudad de Formosa. El objetivo principal de este Acuerdo fue dotar a la Municipalidad de una herramienta de gestión imprescindible para lograr el desarrollo justo, sostenible y equilibrado del territorio municipal, con un horizonte temporal al año 2040. El Plan fue elaborado por un Equipo Técnico de la Facultad que contó con el aporte de un Equipo Técnico Municipal. La propuesta del Plan se expresa en siete Líneas Estratégicas y 37 Ideas-proyectos, y contempla, además, una propuesta para su implementación y posibles instrumentos de gestión.
