It is proposed to analyze the discontinuous urban expansion of Paraje Tres Horquetas, Colonia Benítez, Chaco, in the period 2002 - 2022, the changes in urban/residential land uses, the increase in the built surface, the impacts and negative externalities in the environment such as the displacement of local economic activities, pollution from the proliferation of waste deposits in areas close to new urbanizations, socioeconomic contrasts between the way of life of the local population and that of those who reside temporarily.   La expansión urbana residencial y los diversos usos de la tierra que se desarrollan en el Paraje Tres Horquetas son temas de estudio en este trabajo, por ello, se ha empleado una metodología basada en técnicas cualitativas y cuantitativas, a partir de la utilización de datos proporcionadas por fuentes de información primaria y secundaria, entre ellos: bases de datos geográficos, información bibliográfica, observación in situ, imágenes satelitales de la plataforma Landsat/Copernicus y el resultado de entrevistas. Se propone analizar la expansión urbana discontinua del Paraje Tres Horquetas, Colonia Benítez, Chaco, en el período 2002 – 2022, los cambios en los usos de la tierra urbano/residencial, el aumento de la superficie construida, los impactos y externalidades negativas en el ambiente como, el desplazamiento de actividades económicas locales, la contaminación a partir de la proliferación de depósitos de residuos en zonas cercanas a las nuevas urbanizaciones, los contrastes de índole socioeconómico entre la forma de vida de la población local y la que reside temporariamente.
