Hence, the houses in the trees and historical references to spaces supported by plant species have emerged as the foundation of a much more powerful ideal such as plant architecture, where traditional structures are replaced by the braiding of living plants, which integrates architecture in systems where natural life functions as a support for spatialities potentially capable of resolving the link with the site in a more sustainable way. El interés en la preservación del ambiente natural que habitamos se ha potenciado, producto de una cultura introspectiva y disímil del tan encarnado capitalismo, gestando desde mediados de los noventa un proceso de reivindicación de ejemplos arquitectónicos relacionados directamente con el concepto de bosque, o más bien del árbol. De allí que las casas en los árboles y referencias históricas sobre espacios soportados en especies vegetales hayan surgido como fundamentación de un ideal mucho más potente como lo es la arquitectura vegetal, donde las estructuras tradicionales se reemplazan por el trenzado de plantas vivas, quien integra a la arquitectura en sistemas donde la vida natural funciona como sustento de espacialidades potencialmente capaces de resolver la vinculación con el sitio de manera más sostenible.
