Sumario:In recent years, the use of bicycles has proliferated in Argentina. Cities of various sizes have begun to develop specific infrastructure to promote cycling mobility. These changes generate a transformation in the modal share of trips in accordance with the sustainability proposals of international organizations, improving the urban environment as well as people's travel possibilities. However, not all cities tend to promote these policies as part of comprehensive planning. In response to this problem, this work proposes the characterization of four types of bicycle users, analyzing in depth their daily travel experiences and recognizing positive and problematic aspects, taking the urban area of the city of La Plata as a case study. As a result, user archetypes were obteined, which are intended to be used as a comprehensive planning tool, when generating designs and projects, in order to promote strategic planning.
