| Sumario: | Decent work is an international political agenda for the promotion and protection of mental health in society, sustainable economic growth and a political strategy to combat precarious conditions of work where the labor relationship is ‘grey’, without defined labor rights and duties, as the case of companies that use digital platforms to manage and subordinate work to rules arbitrarily determined with no transparency. In Brazil, companies using digital platforms to subordinate workers for transport services were studied by us and they refuse to take on responsibilities for labor rights and measures for health and safety at work. In our research, we found several psychosocial risks (PSR) at work such as: i) intensification of work due to irregular and prolonged work schedules, with low, uncertain and variable remuneration; ii) organizational pressures to deliver work within tight deadlines, accelerating the pace of work; iii) lack of control over how the work is carried out; iv) arbitrary and unfair management mechanisms; v) emotional demands with difficult customers and fear of suffering serious traffic accidents; vi) socioeconomic insecurity due to variable remuneration arbitrarily determined; vii) algorithmic management with continuous monitoring and surveillance, viii) lack of job stability due to unilateral mechanisms for temporary or permanent suspension of work demands without the right to self-defense. Our concern is to point out that decent jobs promote workers’ health, there is a relationship between PSR and the macrosocial context, describe the PRS on platformed jobs and address the urgency for regulating the labor relationship and the algorithmic management control. |
