The use of dung of herbivores in the nesting of Penepodium fumipenne (Tasch.) (Hymenoptera, Sphecidae)

The nesting behaviour of Penepodium fumipenne is described. The use of dung of hervibores to close the nest and its evolutionary significance is analyzed.
