Sumario:In the city of Buenos Aires (CABA) -Argentina-, since 2015 intervention has begun in some popular settlements (Playón de Chacarita, Villa 20, Villa 31, Rodrigo Bueno) in a novel way, based on projects called social integration and urban. However, the territories that are intervened have a privileged location in the city, in neighborhoods with high land values. In this sense, a series of questions arise. Why is intervention only in these neighbourhoods? Does its location influence this decision? What distinctive features do these new projects have? We seek to contribute to answer these questions, based on analyzing the main characteristics of the project in Rodrigo Bueno, understood it as a model case of these new interventions. We will carry out an analysis, based, above all, in project terms, based on interviews with government officials and residents of the neighborhood, in dialogue with official materials.
