Sumario:The purpose of this paper is to analyze the financing of the pension system of the Province of Corrientes during the period 2016 - 2020. For this objective, we developed basic concepts, the principles and objectives of pension systems in general; as well as the sources of financing, the benefit expense and its impact on the provincial public finances of the chosen analysis unit. The results show a growing deficit, with the consequent risk to the sustainability of the system.
