Sumario: | Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) are emerging as a climate change mitigation strategy in the building sector. Primary energy requirements vary from 25 kWh/m2/year to 120 kWh/m2/year for air conditioning, domestic hot water and auxiliary systems. Thermal and energy monitoring of an office building located in the technological development park (Polo TIC) of Godoy Cruz, Mendoza, Argentina (32º 93' S and 68º50' W, elevation 750 m.a.s.l.), cold arid temperate climate (Bwk) was carried out. The objective of this work is to diagnose the thermal performance of a low energy office building and the net energy balance to achieve near zero energy (nZEB) in the region. Two areas of the 2nd floor, open plan and box office, were studied, the result was 116 kWh/m2/year, favourable to reduce energy consumption and enhance the use of clean energy. |
