Sumario:Self-construction not allowed in Natural Protected Areas [NPA], is a current problem in Mexico, as the risk of geomorphological phenomena due to the characteristics of the terrain known as lands-lides is increasing; most of the population, due to their low socioeconomic level, occupies the NPA, regardless of the characteristics of the site.   The objective of this work is to analyze by means of preventive models to identify the possible affec-tations to their patrimony based on spatial analysis with Geographic Information Systems [GIS].   The result obtained is the generation of thematic cartography according to the geographic characte-ristics and safeguarding of threatened areas against possible irregular occupations.The study area is the ANP La Loma within the colonia Reserva Ecológica Torres de Potrero, the results can be replicated in the whole of Mexico City [CDMX] and even in other places in Latin America.
