Además, al poner este relato en correlación con el conjunto de su obra y escritos personales, es posible entrever su modo de entender la fe como un camino a Dios, por medio de la belleza creada. Fil: This work aims to demonstrate how the brief tale of J.R. R. Tolkien, entitled "Leaf, by Niggle", in appearances naive, puts of manifest not only aspects biographical, so is possible identify to the writer with the protagonist of its history; but also the expression evening of his conception of the art and of the mission and the function of the artist. In addition, by putting this story in correlation with the whole of his work and personal writings, it is possible to glimpse their way of understanding faith as a way to God, through the beauty created.
