The results show a relationship between negative stereotypes and the students' prior intergenerational contact. This finding confirms previous research and presents interaction with older people as a valid tool for modifying these perspectives toward aging in future healthcare professionals. Si bien existen perspectivas que nos permiten integrar la noción de vejez y envejecimiento en una visión multidimensional, multidireccional y multicausal, en la sociedad, podemos encontrar estereotipos hacia las personas mayores que influyen en los profesionales de la salud responsables de la atención hacia ellas. El artículo se basa en los datos de una investigación ya realizada (Guzmán et al., 2021), que tuvo un diseño cuantitativo no experimental y transversal exploratorio e indagó sobre la relación entre el interés por trabajar con personas mayores de los estudiantes de las licenciaturas de Psicomotricidad y Psicopedagogía de la Universidad Provincial de Córdoba (UPC). Los resultados muestran que existe relación entre los estereotipos negativos y el contacto intergeneracional previo que hayan tenido los estudiantes. Este hallazgo confirma investigaciones previas y nos presenta a la interacción con personas mayores como una herramienta válida para el trabajo de modificación de estas perspectivas hacia la vejez en futuros profesionales de la salud.
