It recognizes that formal educational processes are essential for social and cultural integration, and that state policies are crucial for ensuring support and equity. From a theoretical perspective, authors of diverse nationalities and Chilean laws, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. The methodology is based on documentary analysis, examining support, accessibility, and continuity strategies from the perspective of educational guidance, citizenship education, and the curriculum in higher education. The purpose is to offer tools, analyses, and proposals that strengthen access, continuity, and job placement for students with special educational needs (SEN), contributing to their personal development and the progress of society as a whole. El documento analiza la política actual de Chile en Educación Superior para estudiantes con Necesidades Educativas Especiales (NEE) y se abordan conceptos clave y el marco legislativo relacionado. Se reconoce que los procesos educativos formales son esenciales para la integración social y cultural y que las políticas estatales son determinantes para garantizar apoyo y equidad. Desde un enfoque teórico, se revisan diversas posturas de autores de diferente nacionalidad y leyes chilenas, donde se identifican vacíos y oportunidades de mejora. La metodología se basa en el análisis documental y se examinan apoyos, accesibilidad y estrategias de permanencia desde la orientación educacional, la formación ciudadana y el área curricular en Educación Superior. El propósito es ofrecer herramientas, análisis y propuestas que fortalezcan el acceso, la permanencia y la inserción laboral de estudiantes con NEE, para contribuir a su desarrollo personal y al progreso de la sociedad en su conjunto.
