Sumario:This article is the result of an ongoing bibliographic research on learning assessment practices in competency-based curricula. The concept of competencies is presented from a constructivist framework, understanding them as a set of resources that are mobilized in a specific situation in order to take a decision and solve a problem effectively. The competency-based approach has reached the curricula of several countries, and this has implied adjusting, revising, and articulating all related aspects, including learning assessment. Based on the review and analysis of various authors, four dimensions linked to competency-based learning assessment practices are proposed: planning, information gathering, analysis and reporting of results, and decision making.
