Sumario:The objective of this study is to explore, from the adolescents' own perspective, which are the experiences they live in the school space in order to qualify their permanence as a happy stay. For this purpose, we conducted a qualitative study, with an interpretative approach and exploratory scope, with students from five high schools in the municipalities of Guadalajara and Zapopan, Mexico. To recover the information, we used two instruments: the discussion group and the questionnaire. The analysis of the data allows us to define four domains in relation to their happy stay at school: experiences with school habitability, relationships with their teachers, their academic achievement and bonds with their friends. Without denying the existence of the problems that surround them, it can be inferred from the results that, in general, students feel happy at school, because what is good and best of this age are experienced on school campuses.
