Sumario:The teaching of science in young student population is a key factor for a country to have a critical mass of citizens scientifically literate to facilitate and promote technological, economic and social development under a sustainable approach. The methodology of teaching inquiry-based science (ECBI) is positioning itself internationally as effective pedagogical tool to promote the development of scientific skills in young people. This paper aims to present the implementation details of the methodology ECBI in a particular environment: Young Scientists Program (CFP) in the central region of Tolima, Colombia, under the guidance and leadership of the University of Ibague.
