description Abstract: In Season 2010 digging activities were resumed by the Argentine Archaeological Mission at the site of Tell-el Ghaba, North Sinai, Egypt. Excavations were focused on Area VIII where a mudbrick structure—Building K—had previously been detected in the 1999 geomagnetic survey. This building seems to be contemporaneous with Building B, which signals out the third stage in the occupation of Area I. When Building K collapsed and after a period of seasonal occupation by fishermen, combustion and storage structures were built on the spot. Finally, the dark, charcoal rich sediment, that covers the whole area, accounts for the conflagration episode that put an end to the site. After the end of the excavation season, a new geomagnetic survey took place, under the direction of Dr. Tomasz Herbich (Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology, Polish Academy of Sciences). The survey permitted to locate a number of unknown buildings and register the approximate limits of Tell el-Ghaba.
