En particular, analizaremos la novela Ralph Herne, publicada en 1888, en Londres, e inspirada en el óleo Un episodio de la fiebre amarilla en Buenos Aires, de Juan Manuel Blanes. Desde el enfoque de la poética histórica, mostraremos que Ralph Herne resulta un producto romántico-realista, gracias a algunos insumos autobiográficos, con los cuales se construye un narrador creíble, y gracias a la pasión como motor de la acción dramática. Abstract; The objective of this work is to relate the novelistic of William H. Hudson with the Argentine narrative system in force around 1870-1880. In particular, we will analyze the novel Ralph Herne, published in 1888, in London, and inspired by the oil painting An episode of yellow fever in Buenos Aires, by Juan Manuel Blanes. From the perspective of historical poetics, we will show that Ralph Herne is a romantic-realistic product, thanks to some autobiographical inputs, with which a credible narrator is built, and thanks to passion as the engine of dramatic action. 2023-09-28T17:31:37Z 2023-09-28T17:31:37Z 2023 Artículo Molina, H.
