People unrest reached unexpected limits. It was not possible to ignore, deny or disregard the social problem, the question was how to neutralize it. And this concern gave rise to a group of university professors who decided to study this issue thoroughly. The foundation of Museo Social Argentino faced this problem with the purpose of analysing it from its several aspects and fi nding solutions and alternatives for an issue with wide social effects. It was an academic initiative that gave rise to the founding group and its subsequent activities.
