Both the current state of Rokhian studies and the critical instability that his work produces (an aspect that we can also trace in The Stone Friend), as well as the rhythm (from the Meschoniquian theory) and its link with American poetic creation will be the transversal axes of this work. El propósito del siguiente artículo es analizar El amigo piedra (la autobiografía póstuma de Pablo de Rokha), de forma comparativa con otras zonas de su poesía, en tanto cifra de ciertas características propias del ritmo poético del autor; como es lo exuberante, aspecto que en su autobiografía se territorializa con énfasis a través del uso abusivo del tiempo verbal presente. Tanto el estado actual de los estudios rokhianos y la inestabilidad crítica que produce su obra (aspecto que también podemos rastrear en El amigo piedra), como el ritmo (desde la teoría meschoniquiana) y su vínculo con la creación poética americana serán los ejes transversales de este trabajo.
