The article conducts an analysis of "Tres versiones de Judas" and proceeds to utilize the different interpretations of the biblical traitor as a frame to analyze other appearances of this theme in Borges. Este artículo explora la traición y el traidor en los cuentos de Jorge Luis Borges. Comenzando con un acercamiento conceptual al acto de traicionar, intenta entender por qué la traición está tan estigmatizada y por qué parece prestarse fácilmente a la representación literaria. Se lleva a cabo un análisis del texto “Tres versiones de Judas” y se utilizan estas diferentes interpretaciones del traidor bíblico como marco para leer detalladamente otras manifestaciones del tema en Borges. Este artigo explora a traição e o traidor nas histórias de Jorge Luis Borges. A partir de uma abordagem conceitual do ato de traição, ele tenta entender por que a traição é tão estigmatizada e por que parece se prestar facilmente à representação literária. É realizada uma análise do texto “Três versões de Judas” e essas diferentes interpretações do traidor bíblico são utilizadas como estrutura para ler em detalhes outras manifestações do tema em Borges.
