More than an attempt to recreate an editorial story, it is a critical gesture interested in replenishing looks that illustrate, with the instruments of the moment of its enunciation, a dazzle before what many did not hesitate to consider an enigma. El artículo se propone el análisis de dos momentos inaugurales en la recepción de, por una parte, la primera edición de Trilce de César Vallejo en Lima en 1922 y, en el siguiente movimiento, el de la segunda edición en Madrid en 1930. Más que un intento de recrear una historia editorial, supone un ademán crítico interesado en reponer miradas que ilustran, con los instrumentos propios del momento de su enunciación, un deslumbramiento que muchos no vacilaron en considerar un enigma.
