Sumario:  The aim of this work is to carry out a theoretical approach about the questioning of heternormativity embodied by the first “literary-transvestite-clown” Batato Barea (1961-1991), during the decade of the 80s. For this purpose, we will analyze both academic and testimonial works that give account of his activity in the Buenos Aires' drama scene, which contributed to such questioning. We consider it's important to carry out new reflections around Batato's figure, for he has become a point of reference for the current GLBT collectives.
