| Sumario: | The article focuses on the presence of women in the Valencian theatre of recent years in fields other than acting, where they have traditionally been active. We observe that women have progressively gained space here both in creative fields (as directors, writers and designers) and at management level (in the public sector or in individual theatre companies and production and design firms). Thus, we aim to examine how women have gradually increased their participation in the world of professional theatre by taking on new creative roles, whether by combining these with acting roles or by moving on to other areas. Some current examples of this phenomenon are highlighted: Eva Zapico, Patrícia Pardo, Pau Pons, and Maribel Bayona. |
