We observe that women have progressively gained space here both in creative fields (as directors, writers and designers) and at management level (in the public sector or in individual theatre companies and production and design firms). Thus, we aim to examine how women have gradually increased their participation in the world of professional theatre by taking on new creative roles, whether by combining these with acting roles or by moving on to other areas. Some current examples of this phenomenon are highlighted: Eva Zapico, Patrícia Pardo, Pau Pons, and Maribel Bayona. El artículo se centra en la presencia de las mujeres en la actividad teatral valenciana reciente, dejando de lado el campo de la interpretación, ámbito que tradicionalmente han ocupado. A partir de este objetivo se puede constatar que el sector teatral valenciano, poco a poco, ha ido otorgando espacio tanto a las creadoras (directoras, autoras y diseñadoras), como a las gestoras, dentro del teatro público o desde las compañías y las empresas productoras y distribuidoras. Así pues, presentaremos esta paulatina incorporación de la mujer al mundo teatral profesional con el desarrollo de otras facetas artísticas, bien combinándolas con las de actriz o bien evolucionando hacia otros campos de la actividad escénica, y destacaremos algunas trayectorias, en estos momentos, relevantes, concretamente las de Eva Zapico, Patrícia Pardo, Pau Pons y Maribel Bayona.
