This essay delves into the interventions carried out between 2000 and 2003 in the City of Buenos Aires—a period during which one of the most significant uprisings in the country's political history occurred—and argues they acted as a means of social interaction and symbolic appropriation of public space for ideological, aesthetic, and countercultural purposes. It also analyzes how the political context stimulated or connected to key qualities of these situated practices: their creative processes—marked by strong collectivization—and their aesthetic qualities, resulting from a fervent state of political urgency. El año 2000 da inicio a una expansión de las intervenciones audiovisuales en espacio público en Argentina; en parte debido a un mayor acceso a dispositivos de proyección, pero también impulsada por la coyuntura socio-política y económica que movilizó a artistas, activistas e intelectuales a manifestarse en las calles. El presente ensayo profundiza en intervenciones realizadas entre los años 2000/2003 en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires —período en que sucedió una de las revueltas más significativas de la historia política del país— que fungieron como medio de interacción social y de apropiación simbólica del espacio público con fines ideológicos, estéticos y contraculturales. Analiza asimismo cómo el contexto político estimula o está enlazado a las cualidades de estas prácticas situadas; es decir, a sus procesos creativos (atravesados por una fuerte colectivización), y a sus cualidades estéticas, resultado de un efervescente estado de urgencia política.
