Este artículo analiza el surgimiento de organizaciones de personas adoptadas, y/o inscriptas falsamente, que buscan su “identidad biológica” en Argentina y que reclaman al Estado en tanto garante formal de su Derecho a la Identidad. Este análisis implica volver la mirada sobre los efectos que ha tenido la problematización de la apropiación criminal de niños en nuestro país atendiendo a la labor de Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo en la búsqueda de sus nietos y nietas que fueron secuestrados durante la última dictadura militar argentina (1976-1983). El surgimiento –a comienzos del año 2000– de estas asociaciones de personas “adoptadas” supuso retomar y ampliar los sentidos asociados hasta ese momento al Derecho a la Identidad. La incorporación que hacen estas organizaciones de los términos “biológica”, “de origen”, y “verdadera” para caracterizar a la “identidad” apunta a la significación, definición y precisión de su problemática, distinta y semejante a la de Abuelas. Este artigo analisa o surgimento das organizações de pessoas adotadas e/ou registradas ilegalmente, que procuram a sua “identidade biológica” na Argentina e reivindicam do Estado a garantia formal do “Direito à Identidade”. Esta análise se debruça sobre o impacto que a problematização da apropriação criminosa de crianças na Argentina causou, levando em consideração o empenho das Avós da Plaza de Mayo na busca de seus netos/as, que foram sequestrados durante a última ditadura militar nesse país (1976-1983). O surgimento dessas associações de pessoas “adotadas” no início dos anos 2000 supôs a retomada e a extensão dos sentidos associados, até aquele momento, ao Direito à Identidade. A incorporação dos termos “biológica”, “de origem”, e “verdadeira” por essas organizações, para caracterizar a “identidade”, aponta para o significado, definição e precisão dos seus problemas, diferentes e também semelhantes das Avós.
