Under this framework, testimonies and interviews become epistemologically relevant as a working technique and as the construction of new sources for the educational investigation based on oral stories. In the first place, we highlight thoughts motivated by the recent development of oral history joined to memory, testimony and subjectivity, along with frames of meaning in the oblivion and reminiscence dialectics as the active part of memory. We also address the commitment and separation strain in the exercise of writing that is articulated as an intersubjective dialogue, between listening and testimony. Afterwards, we develop specific characteristics and proceedings of the oral history, its manners towards the information production,narrations that are continually built and rebuilt and the analytical, categorical and critical work of meaning, as well as the differences between historical investigation and ethical political concerns. In addition, we intervene the text with an educational research that we carry out at the National University of Cuyo  "Conversations with teachers from Mendoza” (2016-2021). El artículo trabaja sobre las posibilidades epistémicas y metodológicas de la historia oral para abordar el pasado reciente. En este marco, cobran relevancia el testimonio, la entrevista y la construcción de nuevas fuentes para la investigación educativa, sobre la base de relatos orales en situación de diálogo. En primer lugar, destacamos reflexiones motivadas desde el desarrollo reciente de la historia oral, vinculadas a la memoria y las subjetividades y las tramas de sentido en la dialéctica del olvido y el recuerdo como parte activa de la memoria. También abordamos la tensión de compromiso y distanciamiento en el ejercicio de una escritura que se articula como diálogo intersubjetivo, entre la escucha y el testimonio. En un segundo momento, desarrollamos las características y los procedimientos específicos de la historia oral, sus modos de producción de información, las narrativas que continuamente son construidas y reconstruidas y el trabajo analítico, categorial y crítico de significación así como las interferencias entre la investigación histórica y las preocupaciones ético-políticas. Además, intervenimos el texto con una investigación educativa que llevamos adelante en la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, titulada “Conversaciones con maestras mendocinas” (2016-2021).
