Sumario:This article presents part of the results of a socio-educational research on the emotional experiences of high school students in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through in-depth interviews and focus groups, the voice of young people is recovered with the aim of understanding the relationships of meaning between the affective ties established at school and the constitution of subjectivity. The youth, crossed by material and symbolic conditions in a network of inequalities, are in a period of identity construction. Obtaining recognition becomes essential to process social pain and advance in the search for vital meaning that characterizes this group. The intention of this writing is to put on the table the way in which the school institution, as a socialization space par excellence, can collaborate in the symbolic repair of social wounds through the establishment of ties that operate as supports in the vital trajectories of its students.
