Through in-depth interviews and focus groups, the voice of young people is recovered with the aim of understanding the relationships of meaning between the affective ties established at school and the constitution of subjectivity. The youth, crossed by material and symbolic conditions in a network of inequalities, are in a period of identity construction. Obtaining recognition becomes essential to process social pain and advance in the search for vital meaning that characterizes this group. The intention of this writing is to put on the table the way in which the school institution, as a socialization space par excellence, can collaborate in the symbolic repair of social wounds through the establishment of ties that operate as supports in the vital trajectories of its students. En el presente artículo se expone parte de los resultados de una investigación socioeducativa en torno a las experiencias emocionales de estudiantes secundarios de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mediante entrevistas en profundidad y grupos focales se recupera la voz de las/os jóvenes con el objetivo de comprender las relaciones de significado entre los lazos afectivos que se establecen en la escuela y la constitución de subjetividad. Las juventudes, atravesadas por condiciones materiales y simbólicas en una trama de desigualdades, se encuentran en un período de construcción identitaria. La obtención de reconocimiento se torna imprescindible para tramitar el dolor social y avanzar en la búsqueda de sentido vital que caracteriza a este grupo. La intención de este escrito es poner sobre la mesa el modo en que la institución escolar, como espacio de socialización por excelencia, puede colaborar en la reparación simbólica de las heridas sociales mediante el establecimiento de lazos que operen como soportes en las trayectorias vitales de sus estudiantes.
