The axes of inquiry were sociotechnical conditions to carry out virtual activities, access to new institutional and academic cultures, bond between teachers and colleagues, organization of their own time and schedule, opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of virtual modality and, finally, emotional dimension, that is, the ways in which the students refer to their feelings and emotions experienced during this period. Este estudio se centra en indagar la problemática del ingreso a la universidad en el contexto de pandemia durante el año 2020. La perspectiva metodológica fue exploratoria y tuvo como técnica de recolección de datos un cuestionario digital destinado a estudiantes de primer y segundo año. Las respuestas procesadas fueron 2500. Los resultados muestran desigualdad de condiciones sociotécnicas, de calificación del vínculo con docentes y en la organización de los propios tiempos. Se destacan valoraciones positivas en relación con el trabajo en la virtualidad referidas a la comodidad del hogar, el ahorro de tiempo y dinero y la disponibilidad de materiales pedagógicos. Se señalan asimismo dificultades en la organización, en los procesos de aprendizaje y en el establecimiento de vínculos interpersonales. Finalmente, se describen sentimientos y emociones experimentados durante este período en términos habitualmente negativos, mencionándose algunos como ansiedad y soledad. Las conclusiones muestran problemáticas de diverso orden que debió enfrentar el cuerpo estudiantil de los primeros años de la universidad, entre ellas, la discontinuidad existente entre las vivencias educativas previas y la inserción en el ámbito universitario y las consecuentes dificultades en los procesos de afiliación institucional e intelectual con características específicas debido al contexto de pandemia.
