CARTOGRAFIA MILITAR IBEROAMERICANA What the official vision of history calls the “Guerra Guaranítica”, the Guaraní resistance calls a massacre. The text presented here has as its theoretical matrix the studies that are opposed to the official History and Geography of the territorial formation of Brazil. The mobilized perspective has as its reference the “history of the massacred”. Our approach is situated alongside the indigenous interpretative guideline, that is, the effort is to bring to the scene the Guarani resistance against the massacre led by Iberian troops between 1753 and 1756, in the Jesuit-Guarani territories known as Seven Missions Peoples. Thus, in a reading against the grain, we present a cartographic piece signed by the Portuguese military man José Custódio de Sá e Faria, military leader, engineer and eyewitness to the Caiboaté massacre. The interpretive transgression consists of capturing the scope of the Guaraní resistance on historical military maps in the mid-18th century. Lo que la visión oficial de la historia llama “Guerra Guaranítica”, la resistencia guaraní llama masacre. El texto aquí presentado tiene como matriz teórica los estudios que se oponen a la Historia y Geografía oficial de la formación territorial de Brasil. La perspectiva movilizada tiene como referencia la “historia de los masacrados”. Nuestro planteamiento se enmarca en la pauta interpretativa indígena, es decir, el esfuerzo es traer a escena la resistencia guaraní contra la masacre liderada por tropas ibéricas entre 1753 y 1756, en los territorios jesuita-guaraníes conocidos como Pueblos de las Siete Misiones. Así, en una lectura a contrapelo, presentamos una pieza cartográfica firmada por el portugués José Custódio de Sá e Faria, líder militar, ingeniero y testigo presencial de la masacre de Caiboaté. La transgresión interpretativa consiste en plasmar el alcance de la resistencia guaraní en mapas históricos militares a mediados del siglo XVIII.   O que a visão oficial da história chama de “Guerra Guaranítica”, a resistência Guarani denomina de massacre. O texto ora apresentado tem por matriz teórica os estudos que se colocam na contramão da História e da Geografia oficiais da formação territorial do Brasil. A perspectiva mobilizada tem por referência a “história dos vencidos”. A nossa abordagem se coloca ao lado da diretriz interpretativa indígena, isto é, o empenho esta em trazer à cena a resistência guaranítica contra o massacre dirigido pelas tropas ibéricas entre 1753 e 1756, nos territórios jesuíticos-guarani conhecidos como Sete Povos das Missões. Assim, numa leitura a “contrapelo” apresentamos uma peça cartográfica assinada pelo português José Custódio de Sá e Faria, dirigente militar, engenheiro e testemunho ocular do massacre de Caiboaté. A transgressão interpretativa consiste em captar a abrangência da resistência Guarani nos mapas militares históricos em meados do século XVIII.
